Sandhya was first noticed in the Zee television show, Koshish Ek Aasha. But it was Shaad Ali's Saathiya that put her on the filmi map.
The actress promptly gave up her sati savitri telly image and swapped the sari with trendier outfits in films like Page 3 and Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd.
"I cannot do bahu roles all the time," she explains, and adds with a grin, "Main dil se naachoongi aur sab ki band bajaongi."
Javed Sanadi is her choreographer partner.
