Okay, so this may fit the superhero genre more, but Elektra (Jennifer Garner), the warrior who survives a near-death experience, becomes an assassin for hire nonetheless.

She tries to protect her two latest targets -- a single father and his young daughter -- from a group of supernatural assassins.

Directed by Rob Bowman, the film showcases Jennifer's action skills with the help of some breathtaking special effects.
