Nikhil Siddhartha

Nikhil wanted to be in films ever since he was in Class III, and has been trying to be one for the last five years. A trained engineer, he also worked as assistant director in the film Hyderabad Nawabs. He plays Rajesh, a tapori sort of character full of life.

I wanted to act in this movie because: this was the biggest break to get into the industry.

My selection process was: anxious and scary initially. I kept waiting for the call and was anxious as people were being selected. But when I got the call it gave me a big high.

Being together with the other cast was: great fun and good bonding. I made some good friends. We helped each other. I didn’t miss my parents.

The most enjoyable moment during shooting was: when Sekhar Sir complimented me after a shot. The whole unit applauded.

The character I play is: totally opposite to what I am. I am a normal, good guy but I play a playboy in the movie.

Working with Sekhar Kammula: he was my mom, dad -- everything. He was friendly and patient. I think when I joined the project I was raw, now I am a better actor.

My experience of this movie was: the movie is going to change my life. Not only has my dream come through, it is like a fairy tale even now.
