SRK's obsessive temperament freaked the daylights out of co-star Juhi Chawla in this superhit romantic thriller. Added to this, his other negative portrayal Baazigar also did exceptionally well compelling trade pundits to wonder if he would get slotted in the mean machine category.

The Om Shanti Om star, however, erasing all memories of the violent movies, went on to do a series of romantic blockbusters.
