SRK also said that he did not regret not doing Lagaan, after Chak De! India.
"I always felt Lagaan was a great script," he said. "Unfortunately, I could not do it and I am happy Aamir Khan did the film. Since then, I have wanted to do a sports film. I am happy to be a part of Chak De."
After Aamir refused to do Lagaan initially, director Ashutosh Gowarikar had approached SRK. But the actor did not have dates to spare for the film.
"I have no regrets after Chak De," Shah Rukh added.
