Shiney Ahuja was slightly older than the students in Barry's theatre group. Barry says mostly people in their early 20s, just out of college, come to him. Shiney was 28 when he joined TAG. He was married, and was running a garments business.

"Which meant that he came with a more definite purpose than a young student who just comes drifting in," Barry says. "Shiny was a lot more mature and focused than others. He was more committed."

"Kunal came from Mumbai to Delhi, which was quite the opposite of what usually happens," Barry laughs. "He was a very warm person. But besides the height of the man and the long hair, I don't know what else distinguished him at that time. He wasn't outstanding."
