Nothing appeals to us like an underdog.
So we have a middle class high school boy (Aamir Khan), who wants to be as 'cool' as the boys from the richer neighbouring school. So he gets himself a rich girlfriend (Pooja Bedi), and a cool attitude, and also a couple of fights with the rich kids, led by Deepak Tijori.
When his elder brother meets with his accident, Aamir makes up his mind to win the annual cycling race, for the sake of his family.
Director Mansoor Khan touched a brilliant subject of cycling at a time when no one really thought about sporty films.
