Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak
Invention is mother of necessities. And this proverb proved right for none other than veteran director-producer Nasir Hussain who made two big flop films Manzil-Manzil and Zabardast.
Broke and faced with mounting debts after two successive flops, the filmmaker decided to have another go at films. This time he roped in the then unknown Aamir Khan (his nephew) and a relatively new Juhi Chawla as the lead pair simply because he could not afford stars.
Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak was directed by Mansoor Khan, Aamir's cousin.
The rest, as they say, is history.
