Remakes notwithstanding, Don is a one-of-a-kind crime caper. Twenty nine years later, there's nothing contrived about its style, story-telling or sleekness.

It's sheer joy to watch our man regale the audience with his dual impact -- one minute he's a merciless mafioso, on another he's a paan-chewing street bum.

His well-rounded act delivered him a Filmfare trophy for Best Actor, putting an end to all the mushkils and namumkins associated with Don.

Bol AB Bol: Maaf karna bhai taklu, main jaanta hoon tum shaam ko kisi se milna nahi pasand karte ho. Lekin mein tumhare sirf dus minute lene aaya hoon. Pehle paanch minute tumhari pitayi karoonga aur doosre paanch minute mein tum mere sawaalon ka jawab doge.
