Also in Brody's sights in Venice and New York were one of the film's three co-writers, Roman Coppola, the son of Francis Ford Coppola, and Roman's cousin, actor and writer Jason Schwartzman. Apart from playing one of the three brothers, he also collaborated on the script with Anderson and cousin Coppola.
But Owen Wilson, who plays a suicidal brother in the film and instigates the Indian journey, was unavailable for the premiere. He is recovering from a suicide attempt over a month ago.
