Kaada Beladingalu (Kannada)

Director: B S Lingadevaru
Cast: Ananya Kasaravalli, Lokanath, H G Dattatreya

Kaada Beladingalu is made by a group of journalists. B S Lingadevaru's earlier film Mounihad won the Best film award from the Karnataka State Government and was selected for the Indian Panorama.

The film talks about the way rural India has been affected by rapid globalisation and urbanisation. The story makes a shocking revelation that the villages of today have now become a sanctuary of old people, as most young people have migrated to the urban areas for employment and higher studies.

He also says that this sorry state of affairs in the villages also leads to the spread of naxalism.
