'Our audience is forgiving. They will forget your bad film'

So, is John worried about his star power after his back-to-back flops, Salaam-E-Ishq and No Smoking?

"You forgot Baabul. That was a flop too," John interrups.

"I've been in the film industry for four years only. I admire actors who have been here for 10-15 years and sustained themselves. I would like to experiment with my films, rather than not try at all," he adds.

But isn't it better to cash in and do films when the market is hot, rather than experiment and get written off? He answers, "Our audience is forgiving. They will forget your bad film. But it is unfortunate that some media persons will never forgive you for trying something different."

The actor is obviously referring to his latest film, No Smoking, that was panned by film critics.
