About the director: Though Saroj Khan has already tried her hand at directing a Bhojpuri film called Dil Diwana Tohar Gayil, Sati will be her first Hindi film.

Saroj Khan has been in the film industry since the early 1950s and has worked in over 200 films, choreographing most of the biggest Bollywood stars. Her most appreciated work has been with Madhuri Dixit in unforgettable dance sequences like Ek Do Teen, Dhakh Dhakh Karne Laga, Hum Ko Aaj Kal Hain and Choli Ke Peeche.

Trivia: Madhuri Dixit was expected to star in this film but there were rumours that Saroj was upset when she was not approached by Yash Raj to choreograph Madhuri's numbers in her comeback film, Aaja Nachle. So Saroj opted for Priyanka.
