How much did you miss the arclights and attention while you were on a break?
Not much. I have always placed my personal life away from my professional life. Fortunately, I did not find any dearth in opportunities at any point of time in my career and was never in a doubt when I decided to get married and then become a mother.
You carried glamorous roles with elan as you did the serious ones.
I believe in a professional approach to the things that I do. Even while appearing in glamorous roles, I made it a point to wear clothes that were comfortable, without being vulgar. I was also careful that the clothes looked good on me.
In fact, I was always involved in the designing process to a certain extent. For me, glamour and performance has to be balanced.
You were part of gossip and controversies. Did you feel out of place?
Never. I think the life as an actor is a beautiful one, indeed. I believe in posing some questions to oneself, while doing whatever in life and that's about it all.
