The name Rafi-Mecartin seems to spell magic in Malayalam. What is the mantra of churning out hits?
(Laughs) There is no particular mantra or tantra behind this. We have made films where stories are told in an entertaining way.
Care was taken to ensure that the story or subject was not a comedy. A serious screenplay is made at first and then additions are done to make it more interesting.
Was working as a team helpful in the whole process?
We have been great friends even before getting into show business. Both of us were mimicry artists and we vibe very well. We used to discuss scripts even before we actually started writing them and the process has always been very effective.
Our good vibes have been working in an amazing way especially during the process from converting a serious script to a likeable one with some comedy in it.
