Roma, who had made quite an impression as the bold and beautiful Saira in Rosshan Andrrew's Note Book, believes that things are happening very well for her in Malayalam. Among her forthcoming projects is Shafi's Chocolate, with Prithviraj as the hero. She says that her character in July 4, Sreepriya, is a bubbly young girl who is emotional and full of life.
Mangala, who was noted in Jayaraj's By the People and then shifted to anchoring programmes on TV, says she was waiting for the right kind of roles to happen. Her character in the film is that of Shilpa, "a pretty bold girl, who was in love with a boy but is gracious enough to move back without making much issues when he is all set to marry her sister," says Mangala.
July 4 is being produced under the banner of Ananya films, and also stars Innocent, Salim Kumar, Cochin Haneefa and Riyas Khan. Lyrics by Shibu Chakravarthy have been set to the tunes of Ouseppachan.
