Konkana was not the only one unsure of her character. Ranvir Shorey, famous for his comic roles, had doubts about playing a drug addict in the film.
"I was not sure if I could pull off a serious role like this, but Madhur had faith in me. It is quite encouraging when your director has faith in you; you try that much harder to do justice to the role you are offered," the actor said.
Playing the role of a doped out drug addict did not come easy to Shorey.
"It's difficult to keep that dazed, drugged look on your face all the time while shooting. My character is this very smart guy who cons people to get money for his drugs. He looks this a normal guy when he approaches them and tells them that he has forgotten his purse at home and needs some money. People just fall for it," Ranvir added.
Shorey's character is in love with Konkana's character in the film.
