Ram Charan Tej, the son of Chiranjeevi has a huge mantle on his head considering his father's 'demi-god' status. Puri Jagannath was chosen to launch him.
There was not much hype and hoopla over his debut film. The publicity and promotion was rather sedate considering his lineage (Chiru's son, Allu Ramalingaiah's grandson and Allu Arjun's cousin).
Charan did not disappoint but Puri did. Charan was good in his action and emotional sequences and of course the dances. He did not appear to be in the shadow of his father.
