In Udayananu Tharam you have played the role of a film heroine. How close is the character to your real life?
The similarities end with the fact that the character Madhumathi was a heroine in films like me. Contrary to the character, my parents have been very supportive of me throughout my life and there have never been any compulsions from them to act in films.
You have been associated with films for so long. How big a film buff are you?
Frankly, I don't watch too many films though I love romantic comedies, and two of my favourite films are While You Were sleeping and Sleepless in Seattle. Talking about the western actors, I think we behave in an entirely different way when compared to their expressions. We tend to keep most of our emotions within ourselves unlike them.
