The role: Don't be fooled by his all-white wardrobe. His deeds are as black as it gets. Oppressing the poor is second nature to this guy. And so hell hath no fury when his petulant daughter falls for a roadside Romeo.

The impact: His Tezaab may have been a blockbuster, but N Chandra's action flick starring Sunny Deol was lame and lousy. What makes it memorable (for the wrong reasons) is a tacky Om Puri playing the outlandish Baapji against the backdrop of a phony story-line.
