Do you think you were written off?
No. Had I been written off, filmmakers wouldn't have signed me today. Even today, when people see me, they recollect who I am. My debut film Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai was a success. It still plays on TV and I still get fan mails.
Post Mere Yaar, big banners approached me. But it's sad that they had similar roles to offer.
Then there was the injury and I backed off because I was uncertain about quite a few things. But all that is behind me.
So is Dhoka a re-launch for you?
Yes, I have started afresh and I am savouring every minute of my life. I've never been more focused. When you're sure about what you want, you give your 100 per cent. Even as far as looks are concerned, I think I look younger and fresher than ever before.
