Courteney Cox and David Arquette
Together: since 1996, married since 1999
'A deal's a deal' is inscribed on the inside of the gold wedding bands of Courteney and David who married in an Episcopalian ceremony in San Francisco.
The Friends star met actor and wrestler David while filming the horror trilogy Scream. David was reportedly grappling with substance abuse at the time and Courteney insisted he come clean before they married. She told NBC: 'I would not be good with someone who did drugs. As long as I know something, I can deal with anything. I'm really good. But what I'm not good with is inconsistency. And I'm not good with not knowing'.
They have baby daughter named Coco, born with the aid of the in-vitro fertilisation procedure. Even as Monica attempted unsuccessfully to have a baby with Chandler on Friends, Courteney was fighting a similar battle at home because of her inability to have kids with David due to a particular blood antibody which caused a series of miscarriages. They are now considering having a second child
Said Arquette to People about Courteney: 'At every turn, it's my job to be loving and honest to her. If there's one thing about our relationship, there are no surprises.
Incidentally, David grew up part of the Subud community, which is a spiritual brotherhood of all religions, though his mom is Jewish and dad Muslim and he had an Episcopal wedding.
