The film talks about the turbulent relationship between Gandhiji and his son Harilal and this itself is a radical subject. How convinced you are about masses lapping it up?
I don't know what's going to happen in the future. I can't predict things. But at the same time, I am sure about one thing. Every parent and son will be able to identify with the characters of this film.
But it is difficult to predict whether the film will run at the box office or how much appreciation we will get.
What significance does Gandhi hold for you?
Gandhiji is the father of the nation. After doing this film, I realised that nothing mattered except the country and its independence for the great leaders of that era. Not only this, the sacrifices they gave for this country was immense. They went to jail and sacrificed the relationships with their families. It is because of those sacrifices that we are free today. We should never forget this.
After doing this film, these thoughts came to my mind. Gandhiji was a great figure; he was willing to sacrifice anything for this country. Even his life.
