Rukmini Krishnan: Dressing up the stars
"Sarika (Kamal's then wife) got in touch with me and asked me to do two bedrooms in their home. They liked what I did and we become friends. She then asked me to help out with the costumes of a period film called Marudanayagam (which was later shelved). She went abroad for research on costumes. We had to design costumes for the French and British armies."
That led to Hey Ram where, again, she helped Sarika with the costumes. It was Agnivarsha that was her first major film as a costume designer though.
