Shahid: Playing dumb isn't easy

Your first love story didn't work out. What do you think is different about these films that will win an audience?

Neither of the two releases is a love story. While 36 China Town is a combination of thrill and comedy by Abbas Mastan, Priyadarshan's Chup Chup Ke is a comedy with just a touch of romance.

In Fida, I suppose people missed the presence of a love story, which is why they didn't like it. However, I have always maintained that if a film is good, people will accept it. Success depends on a mix of various elements.

Will it be an overdose for viewers to see you and Kareena together in two consecutive films?

Both films are very different. Each director has approached the subject with a different sensibility, so we hope viewers will enjoy both.

Tell us a little about the music for the films.

The soundtrack of 36 China Town has already been released and Ashiqui Meri is already a hit. In Priyan's film, the story is more important. The songs there complement the story.
