There's a lot at stake for X-Men: The Last Stand. Bryan Singer's first film was well received by purists, and his second, based on the 1982 graphic novel God Loves, Man Kills, was even better.
There is a lot of doubt about what Brett Ratner can contribute, especially considering his last film, the unwatchable After The Sunset. The project has also been dogged by numerous rewrites, and might possibly be hampered by a compromised script.
But while we all groan and complain, the truth is that X3 is around the corner, and we're bloody thrilled.
X-Men: The Last Stand releases worldwide on May 26.
