On the sets of Amma Cheppindi

Gangaraju wants the film to be easy on the eyes, but doesn't want it to distract the audience from the main emotion. "The end has to be elevating," he says. "It is about believable people doing extraordinary things. There is an element of sacrifice."

His son Sandeep Gunnam (trained in film school in Los Angeles) is the director of photography. Sandeep also assisted S Gopal Reddy in the super hit Sri Ramadasu. "This film is challenging," he says. "I have to focus on giving the right mood and staying tuned to the emotion."
