Why Kareena wore no make-up for Omkara

July 26, 2006
Viveik Oberoi, Kesu Firangi

He's a very naughty actor! He hated the sleeveless sweater I gave him. He thought audiences wouldn't like it. So I told him that people want to watch Kesu Firangi, not Viveik Oberoi. He wanted a flamboyant look, and wear small kurtas.

He realised it worked when everyone started complimenting him.

The material Kesu wears is very different from that of Omi and Langda because he belongs to a higher class. He likes foreign things, and gets along very well with girls.

He wears checks throughout the film. I went to a college in Meerut and saw that checks are very popular.

Vishal's brief to me was that Kesu should look like his associate director Abhishek. The thing is, Abhishek wears branded shirts. So I said that Kesu cannot wear branded clothes because he wouldn't be able to afford them.

Vishal basically wanted a universal student.
