Scarlett Johansson - Match Point
Best Actress in a Supporting Role
We have a massive crush on this girl. And, when she's starring in a film described as Woody Allen's best in ages, it's a no-brainer that we're really rooting for the actress. Playing a saucy, seductive type in the film, Johannson has emerged as a thespian far beyond her years.
Who else is there: Rachel Weisz got a lot of acclaim for The Constant Gardener, and Shirley Maclaine is around with In Her Shoes. Scarlett could pick the award up, but she needs to fend off the always-formidable Frances McDormand, who was terrific in North Country.
