Arshad scores with Beckham's coach
Boman Irani plays the coach. "It's not a training session, just a warm-up. Andy Ansah is a fabulous player, and I have come here to see his body language," said Boman. "I am not going to play football in the movie, as I am the coach. I am here to pick up the nuances of a coach, how he inspires and encourages people, or how he shouts and abuses his team members. I am observing every small detail. Even if a player makes a mistake, I am observing his body language so that I know exactly how to encourage him. It has to be authentic. You cannot fool around with a sports film. And basically Goal is not about football, but about human emotions and relations."
