Fardeen: No more comedies

I have quite a few forthcoming projects lined up.

There’s Idhar Udhar, produced by the makers of Being Cyrus. It also stars Sushmita Sen and Reteish Deshmukh. I play the CEO of a casino and an investment banker.

Then, there’s Meghna Gulzar’s Honeymoon, with Esha Deol. It’s about a guy who has just graduated from college and has an arranged marriage. The film is about how two people who don’t know each other get to know each other during the honeymoon.

There’s Abbas-Mustan’s next, which also stars Saif Ali Khan, Anil Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif and Mallika Sherawat. Sajid Khan’s first directorial film, Hey Baby, has me with Akshay Kumar and Reteish Deshmukh. And then there’s Feroz Khan’s Qurbani, that will be out during Diwali next year. My father will play Amjad Khan. The film also stars Saif.

Hollywood films like Scarface and Pride And Prejudice have been remade, so it is really fine for Hindi films to be made again. If my father feels he can do it better, why not?
