Fardeen: No more comedies

It’s very challenging playing a blind man. You have to shut out your most important sense. That took time getting used to. The action scenes were quite difficult, especially the scene where I had to drive. I had to concentrate on being blind, say my dialogues… at the same time, there were cars passing by, rigs and cameras around...

The most challenging roles I have done till date have been in Khushi and No Entry. In Khushi, this character was pretending to do a lot of things. He felt something but had to pretend otherwise all the time, because of his ego. That was what the film was about. No Entry was tough because the character was funny and stupid, and I don’t consider myself comedic or stupid!

None of my characters have been funny; they’ve just found themselves in funny situations.
