Unlike some press reports, which suggested that Kareena had felt awkward about acting in a romantic role opposite someone she'd known since she was a child, Salman said it was he who had resisted acting with her.
"That's why I didn't work with her for so many years," he said. "She's been in this industry for what, four or five years, and I've been working with her sister [Karisma], so to suddenly do a role which is romantic was kind of awkward, because I've seen her since she was seven or eight. But now she's a grown up woman. She's very comfortable."
