The first time around, he was a no-show, because he was sick. This time, it looked like a possible repeat. An hour and a half after the appointed time, Salman Khan was nowhere to be seen and the press were getting restless.

And then, just like that, the elevator doors on the second floor of the Park Central Hotel in New York opened and the actor and his entourage flowed out. Salman, wearing blue jeans, a dark blue shirt and black boots, strode into the conference room and took his place at the front. On a wall behind him hung a large banner for Kyon Ki, his upcoming film with Kareena Kapoor, set for a Diwali release.
