Myth's biggest weakness is that Chan, 50, is flat in the emotional scenes. And he is nowhere as funny in the Rush Hours series. It is a mystery why the Indian sequence is added to the film. When Chan and his friend, the ambitious scientist William (Tony Leung Ka Fai), set out on an adventure that could lead them to the greatest discovery in Chinese history, they start the journey in India. They stumble upon a sword from the ancient Qin Dynasty and a gemstone that appears to be able to defy the force of gravity. But they also unwittingly sabotage the levitation plan of a godman, and are chased by the angry locals who speak a sort of Tamil.

At one point, to appease the angry crowd, Chan delivers a couple of lines in the language, leading to a few chuckles from the audiences who know the language.
