"It's shaadi, yes, but only in terms of movies," she laughs. "For some reason, the producers seem to think a bride's role suits me," adds the actress, who also played a similar character in her critically-appreciated Socha Na Tha.

"In Shaadi Se Pehle, I'm playing a character called Rani! I just love that name! And it's a very fun character. I've just read the full script last night, and I'm very excited about the film."

"Also," she adds, "I have a totally different look. This [pointing to herself] is very me, very Ayesha. But the look in the film is something completely different." Then comes the clincher: "I'm sure you'll like it."

She flashes an irresistible, pouty smile and we say, yeah, we're pretty sure we'll like it too, Ayesha.
