5.The Godfather: Part II (1974)
With arguably the best sequel in Hollywood history, Francis Ford Coppola created a film distinctly better than its marvellous predecessor.
The first family of film crime, the Corleones, are better than ever in this sequel as Michael (Al Pacino) assumes complete control, even as the show is stolen effortlessly by Don Vito Corleone (Robert De Niro), in flashback. A spellbinding film full of mesmerising moments.
Kay: It made me think of what you once told me: 'In five years, the Corleone family will be completely legitimate.'
That was seven years ago.
