Delnaaz and Rajeev Paul

The first couple of the day is on stage -- Rajeshvari and Varun, rocking to the title track from Bunty Aur Babli. Rajeshvari is an experienced dancer, as is clearly visible in the grace of her jhatkas. Varun's not great, but he's giving it a valiant shot, trying to keep up while making sure the smile is in place. They're having fun, and it becomes increasingly clearer, as the show goes on, that it's not really about the dancing.
All the couples look lopsided. Delnaaz' husband Rajeev Paul is a pronounced embarrassment -- he knows he's the worst dancer around, proclaims it loudly, and the others agree. As the couple grooves to It's the time to disco (from Kal Ho Na Ho) however, he has the more spirited job, ending with a split.
Meanwhile, with Rohit and Mansi Roy, it's the other way around. As the attractive couple takes to the stage, with Dhiki tana dhiki tana from Main Hoon Na, it's clear that the obviously embarrassed and blushing Mansi isn't quite the kind of girl who sets a dance floor alight. Her moves are completely at odds with Rohit's effortless Bollywood stuff, but we like the act because it looks real -- we find her awkwardness endearing, we like the goof-ups. And they look good together.
