A special award was given to actors who have made the transition from the big screen to the small screen.

Ejaz Khan (from the soap Kkavyanjali) danced to songs originally performed by the movie stars as he brought them onstage, even as they did a few steps of their own.

Asha Parekh came onstage with Kitna pyaara vaada playing in the background, Aruna Irani with Chadti Jawaani, Reena Roy with Tere sang pyaar mein nahi todna, and Moushumi Chatterjee with Megha re megha re. Jeetendra made a grand appearance with fireworks going off, but the veteran showman did not dance.
