In another movie, just before I entered the frame, a pistol was supposed to go off. The director told me I should enter the frame when I hear the shot. The man fired the gun. I jumped into the air as the man had fired just next to my ear!
Now I make sure I know where the guns are before a shot. Even when they are shooting near a fire, I am very careful.
I have seen and heard a 21-gun salute as my father is in the Navy, but that doesn't mean I don't jump if a gun is fired in my face!
