Interestingly, Sai's mother, well-known Marathi director Shrabani Deodhar has films like Sarkar Nama to her credit; her father is cinematographer Debu Deodhar. Sai worked in Marathi theatre actor before she started doing serials; she has even worked with the legendary Sai Paranjpe.

She now also appears in the Star One serial, Siddhant.
