After the Oscar hype died down, Britain's most respected film magazine Empire handed out its trophies on March 13.

Best British Director went to Matthew Vaughn for his film Layer Cake. In the picture with supermodel wife Claudia Schiffer, it's clear Matthew's quite used to winning.
