I'm from Bengal. I'm 18 years old, studying for my bachelors in English from Behrampur College of Commerce.

First I applied through Kolkata, but there were a lot of problems and the audition got postponed. Then I applied in Delhi, but I was rejected because my selection of songs was bad.

Then I came back to Kolkata and got selected. I sang Hariharan's ghazal Koi Mausam Ho Tere Rang Mein and Sukhvinder Singh's song, Chhaiya Chhaiya.

I was very tense and literally shivering during the Kolkata auditions, but it all paid off.

I am learning music from Pandit Rajendraji, of Ziaganj.
