An out-and-out commercial film, but what made this one different was its class and finesse. It also had an offbeat story, which is why it makes it to this list.

The story is about 'Rules' Ramanujam alias Ambi, who suffers from multiple personality disorder. Like in Shankar's Indian, Ambi cannot tolerate injustice and corruption in society even if it is as minor as spitting on the road. Idealism and a strong message, superbly packaged.

What do we have in store for 2006? Good stuff, hopefully.
