Raam

For an industry that generally sticks to the beaten path, Raam is an exception. The director, Ameer, had proven his mettle with Mounam Pesiyithe, but showed tremendous courage in the making of this unusual film.

The story is about Ram, an autistic young man whose life revolves around his mother. The film begins with Ram lying next to his mother, who has been brutally murdered. The prime suspect is Ram, who is famous in the locality for his fiery temper. The rest of the film is about tracking down the killer. Raam would not have been complete without the haunting music of Yuvan Shankar Raja. Powerful stuff, this.
