It is admittedly hard to imagine the film getting a wide theatrical release.

How was the film cleared without cuts? "The Censor Board appointed an expert panel to judge the film, and after a detailed screening, they felt that there was no exaggeration. It was portraying facts as they were, and so they passed it without any visual cuts, and two very minor audio cuts," said Rahul, admitting that he felt very lucky.

Parzania is one of those films that need to be talked about. Not only is it an extremely vivid portrayal of a horrific true moment, it also condemns -- in no uncertain terms -- the perpetrators of the nightmarish slaughter.

Eventually, however, it is the story of a family that has lost more than we can bear to imagine.
