Naseer never thought about Dholakia's track record when the project was brought to him. A good thing too, because Dholakia's past credits include the 2002 turkey, Kehta Hai Dil Baar Baar.

"It didn't matter what he had made before," Naseer states. "Once you enter a project, you entrust yourself to the director. There was a sincerity to this film that made me want to be a part of it."

The controversy doesn't bother the veteran actor. "The film should be released, and people should have the choice to go and see it. That's what is important."

"Sure, people can create a scene, but they do that with (films about) lesbians too! And that isn't a big deal at all! There will always be some people who will object, but this is a powerful film, and I am proud to be a part of it. I will stand by it."
