7. Almost Famous (2000)

Cameron Crowe's indulgently made rock and roll autobiography of sorts (replace the fictional Stillwater band with the all too real Led Zeppelin) is one of those films that necessitates multiple viewings.

Now, young journalist William (Patrick Fugit) has finally got his Rolling Stone cover story and his exclusive interview with Stillwater frontman Russell 'I am a golden god' Hammond (Billy Crudup). Also, we know Penny Lane (Kate Hudson) shares an interesting dynamic with both the lads.

Let's have a second film with the band (anything to bring back bearded, guitar-weilding Jason Lee) going through crisis. They're four albums down, the critics hate them, they're losing their audience. And metal's coming up in a big way. Their loyal journalist, now much more hallowed than a mere kid, decides to see what's wrong. Ta-da!
