Ah! Tony Scott made this film that was so decidedly into male-bonding that some critics say it's Hollywood's most blatantly homosexual film, in terms of subtext.

Now, even as Goose (Anthony Edwards) has tragically passed on, Maverick (Tom Cruise) and Iceman (Val Kilmer) are finally beginning to like each other. (Nudge, nudge, wink, wink!)

Mr Cruise, even as you hunt for experimental roles to push the envelope with, remember that a blatantly made sequel will sell out internationally, as the women of the world yell hallelujah!
