Amitabh Bachchan will be formally nominated as a United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund Goodwill Ambassador on April 14.
He will be nominated by the UNICEF executive director at the UNICEF House's Danny Kaye Visitor's Centre in New York, sources in the UN agency said.
The event will include a greeting and a signing ceremony.
